According to data from the China Iron and Steel Association, in late May 2024, the daily crude steel output of key steel enterprises was 2.1764 million tons, a month-on-month decrease of 1.49%, a year-on-year increase of 3.87% on a year-on-year basis, and a year-on-year decrease of 6.16% on a year-on-year basis. At the end of late May, the steel inventory of key steel enterprises was about 14.5669 million tons, a decrease of 2.2595 million tons and a decrease of 13.43% from the previous ten days (i.e. mid-May); a decrease of 1.3141 million tons and a decrease of 8.27% from the same ten days of the previous month.
